Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S5 at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona yesterday. Phone is measuring 5.1 inch, slightly bigger than Galaxy S4's 5 inch. Screen will come with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. The phone has a 16 megapixel camera with real-time HDR function which lets you toggle HDR on and off before taking a photo so that you can see which one produce a better picture.
The Galaxy S5 also feature a fingerprint scanner which can be used to unlock your phone, log into your Samsung account and pay online using PayPal. S5 is capable to adapt its screen to changing external conditions and to dim it to avoid disturbing others nearby.
Galaxy S5 will be running on the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system, Android 4.4.2 KitKat. It will also feature a Qualcomm quad-core processor. There will be two versions for Galaxy S5, 16 GB model and a 32GB model, both will have microSD expansion slots.
There is a heart-rate sensor in the phone that can be used before and after exercise to measure fitness activities. Galaxy S5 includes dust and water resistant features.
We can clearly see that the company kept Galaxy S5 relatively simple in terms of features. It was speculated that screen will have an Ultra HD resolution but company limited it to HD resolution.
